The (“Safer at Home”) order was issued on April 3rd, restricting movements of Florida residents, however permitting businesses providing “essential services” to continue operations.  Roofing services provided by Modtek Roofing is considered an essential business, as we are critical to keeping commercial buildings and residential homes safe.  Therefore, we continued to serve our community while following CDC guidelines, ensuring our employees and customers stay safe during repairs, contract signing, and all other transactions.

So if you are wondering if it’s possible to get a new roof during the COVID-19 pandemic, we say yes! Our business procedures have slightly amended to ensure social distancing, however, we are still providing the same great service!

Essential Gear : Our employees are well-equipped with hand sanitizer, wipes, gloves, and CDC approved KN95 Masks before we enter each home.

Social Distancing:  The upside of roof repair or installation is that most of the work is conducted outside of the property.  You may safely stay inside during the construction process.  However, if preferred, customers may also leave. Repairs and re-roofs, which typically occur during daylight hours, lasts on average 1 to 3 days.  For these customers, we will gladly keep you updated with mobile pictures and videos detailing the progress.  Nonetheless, we ensure to maintain the recommended 6ft distance when interacting with our customers.

Payment Options:  We offer various payment options. For those paying by check, customers may leave the payment inside the door, under the mat, or any other pre-designated location minutes before pick-up. For customers who wish to make electronic payments, our office coordinator will gladly provide over the phone assistance.

Virtual Estimates: Modtek Roofing is also offering virtual estimates. We use software programs such as Eagle View to get an accurate estimate of your roof and it’s dimensions.  The advancement of technology has allotted us the opportunity to accurately evaluate roofs without having to step foot on the property.

Virtual Meetings:  For customers seeking an alternative method of face-to-face communication, we recommend setting virtual meetings with Zoom.  Zoom is the leader in modern enterprise video communications, allowing for simple conferencing and online meetings.  We have been utilizing this user-friendly platform for many of our internal and external communication efforts, which has proven very effective.

As advancements are released on how the virus affects our health, it is possible to draw this conclusion.  Your home or commercial building is a key component to ensuring you stay safe during the pandemic.  It should maintain a sound health standard as it directly affects the residents or patrons inside.  Therefore, operating on an improper roof is never recommended, and damages should be fixed immediately.
