The owner and his son came out and gave a professional presentation while bringing samples and product information. We had a more complicated project than normal roofs as we had a continual leak that was "Repaired" twice by another company but still continued to leak. Modtek was there to ensure they removed and repaired everything correctly and even tossed in a new chimney cap at cost. We were assigned a project manager "April" from the start and were able to call her anytime to ask questions. She was amazing. We found that calling the project manager or the office to receive updated info about our project was more effective then calling Luke himself. Communication was lacking at times and had to call to make sure things were moving, but overall the project went smooth. They were very accommodating to any roof questions as they were working. They never seemed as if we were bothering them no matter how many questions we asked. The price was very fare and they didn't try to up sell or pressure us like "Code Red Roofing" did. With this being a smaller company, their work wasn't lightning fast but it was quality work. Overall I would definitely recommend this company to others.I have a drone and thought it would be nice to have a before and after. I was not paid or compensated for this post lol. I just like to ensure other people know what they are getting into. read less

My experience with the company, and with the job leader (John) in particular, simply could not have been better. The company immediately responded to my request for a proposal, and was on-site to evaluate my issue in 1 day. John provided me with a detailed proposal of all efforts and related costs, and additionally highlighted any other costs that might pertain to items not in the scope of the proposal. This is valuable, as I have experienced "hidden costs" with other companies that always seem to be "needed". Not the case here at all. I shopped for five bids. Modtek was very close to the low-cost provider, and provided outstanding work with a transferable warranty - very important when the time comes to sell my property. My prior experience with the "lowest of the low bidders" was that those companies often provide a "band aid" and not a fix. Modtek carefully removed the roof tiles with no damage, and replaced rotting wood and underlayment. John provided pictures to me as the problem was uncovered and the repair was in process. In addition, the work was done quickly (we are in hurricane season, so this was very valuable to me), completed on-time, and kept the job site immaculate. I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Modtek, and John, and would heartily recommend their services to any of my friends. Very impressive outfit. read less
